Club Guidelines:
Dress Code
Kings Creek Country Club is a resort club emphasizing a casual, comfortable setting. It is expected that members will dress in attire appropriate to the occasion and to a Country Club setting. Members shall advise their guests of the dress code requirements. Proper attire contributes to the overall enjoyment for our members and reputation of the Club. Exceptions to the dress rules will be published in advance.
All persons using the Club facilities must refrain from wearing nametags, identification cards, etc., unless otherwise authorized by the Club. Shirts and shoes are required at all times except in the pool area and locker rooms. Sandals are acceptable; beach flip flops (rubber with flat soles) are not. Athletic shoes (sneakers) are appropriate footwear if they are clean, neat in appearance and are not ripped or torn. Metal spiked shoes are prohibited in the Clubhouse and on the golf course.
When dining before or after the use of the fitness center, racquet courts or swimming pool, tennis, pickleball, fitness and pool apparel will be permitted at the pool bar/dining area only. Tennis/pickleball attire that meets the criteria for the golf course, i.e., shirts with a collar and sleeves and tucked in for men, shirts with either a collar or sleeves for women, non-athletic wear, etc., and which is comparable to golf apparel, is acceptable at the Clubhouse outdoor bar and patio. (See Golf Dress Code below.)
Denim Policy
Neatly tailored denim (shirt, skirt, dress, jacket or pants) of any color or style are permitted in the Eagles Nest, casual dining room and patio areas. Denim clothing is not permitted in the main (formal) dining room unless authorized by the General Manager, typically for special events. Denim clothing must be in good repair and of a consistent color. There shall be no holes, rips, tears, tatters, frays, acid wash, handwritten messages, pictures or inappropriate messages. Denim is not permitted on the golf course, driving range, practice facilities, racquet courts or in the fitness center at any time.
Members are reminded to use the utmost discretion with regard to wearing denim.
Members, their children and guests not properly attired will not be permitted to use any of the Club facilities. The minimum dress requirements are as follows:
Clubhouse
Men
- Shirts with collars and sleeves.
- Shirts must be tucked in unless designed to be worn untucked such as a camp shirt with a straight hem. A shirt with an uneven hem (tails in the front and back, meeting on the sides by your hip) is meant to be tucked. The exception would be shirts with uneven tails made specifically to be worn untucked as the tails are shorter.
- Slacks or shorts (mid-thigh or longer).
- Hats are not permitted in the dining rooms or lobby area. All hats, visors and caps must be worn with bills to the front. Hats, visors and caps may always be worn at the outside bar and patio and in the the Eagles Nest until 5:00 pm.
- Inappropriate attire: Tank tops; crew neck or vee neck shirts; tee shirts, with or without print; cut-offs; sweatpants; sweatshirts; bathing trunks; athletic apparel and denim shorts are not permitted in the Clubhouse, outdoor bar and patio or on the golf course at any time.
Women
- Dresses, slacks, skirts and shorts (mid-thigh or longer), blouses and shirts.
- Hats are not permitted in the dining rooms or lobby area. All hats, visors and caps must be worn with bills to the front. Hats, visors and caps must be worn with bills to the front. Hats, visors and caps may always be worn at the outside bar and patio and in the Eagles Nest until 5:00 pm.
- Inappropriate attire: Halter-tops; clothing that exposes the midriff; tee shirts, with or without print; bathing suits; sweatpants; sweatshirts; athletic apparel; short shorts and denim shorts are not permitted in the Clubhouse, outdoor bar and patio or on the golf course at any time.
Children
- Children over age 6 shall dress in keeping with the standards for adults.
- Parents are responsible for ensuring all children, any age, are appropriately and neatly dressed while on Club property.
Golf Course – General
- Denim is not permitted on the golf course, driving range or practice facilities.
- Metal spiked shoes are prohibited on the golf course.
- No tank tops, tee shirts, cutoffs, sweatpants, athletic shorts or bathing suits are allowed on the golf course, driving range or practice facilities.
Men
- Shirts with collars and sleeves. Blade and mock turtleneck collars are considered acceptable.
- Shirts must be tucked in at all times.
- Slacks or Bermuda length golf shorts.
- Cargo shorts/pants with outside protruding pockets are not permitted unless specifically designed as golf attire.
Women
- Shirts with either a collar or sleeves. Sleeveless shirts with no collar are not permitted.
- Slacks, capris, shorts, dresses, skirts and skorts are acceptable and should be of an appropriate length.
- Clothing that conforms with current fashion and LPGA standards is acceptable.
Children
- Children over the age of 6 are expected to comply with the adult dress code policies for the golf course.
Racquet Courts
- Shirts with sleeves are preferred; however, sleeveless shirts that are meant to be worn as outer garments are acceptable.
- Shorts, dresses, skirts and skorts should be of an appropriate length.
- Smooth-soled athletic shoes are required. Any shoes with black soles or waffle treaded shoes, i.e., cross training or running shoes, are prohibited.
- Denim, cutoffs, sleeveless undershirts for men, tee shirts, halter tops and bathing suits are not permitted on the courts.
Fitness Center
- Appropriate exercise attire.
- Closed toe, rubber soled shoes.
- Denim, cutoffs, sleeveless undershirts for men and bathing suits are not permitted in the Fitness Center.
Pool
- All swimmers must wear appropriate swim attire. Cutoffs, denim, underwear used as outerwear and Bermuda style shorts are not acceptable swimwear.
- Bathing suits or cover ups are permitted in the pool bar/dining facilities only.
- Bathing suits or cover ups are not permitted in the Clubhouse, golf locker rooms, fitness center or on the golf course, tennis/pickleball courts, Clubhouse patio/bar or in any dining room under any circumstances.
Parking
The Club has reserved a limited number of parking spaces in front of the Clubhouse for those individuals who have obtained a state permit to utilize designated handicap parking spaces. If you would like to drop off or pick-up an individual at our front entrance to the club, you may park for a few minutes to do so. We have a handicap ramp for wheelchairs. Please do not park under the covered entrance for more than a few minutes. We also have a wheelchair available at the Club for use by our members and guests.

Proper attire and athletic shoes are required. Cut-off shorts are not
permitted. Fitness attire may be worn to walk through the Clubhouse
area to get to the Fitness Center. They may not be worn in the dining areas.
Pool:
Proper swimsuit attire must be worn while in the pool area.
The following are not considered acceptable attire: cut-offs,
gym shorts, blue denim. Diapers of any kind are not permitted in the main pool.
Swim diapers are available at the pool restaurant.
Camps:
Children must wear clothes which meet the requirements for
play on the golf course or tennis courts. Jeans and cut-offs
are not permitted at any time.
Tennis:
Proper tennis attire is required. Gentlemen's shirts must have
a collar and sleeves. T-shirts are not permitted. All players are
encouraged to wear white tennis shoes. The following items are
not appropriate: non-tennis shoes, bathing suites, cut-offs and blue denim.
Cellular Phone & Wireless Device Policy:
The use of cell phones and other wireless devices is strictly
prohibited in the Clubhouse. Please step outside the Clubhouse
if you wish to use your cell phone.
Smoking Policy:
In accordance with the Delaware statewide "No Smoking" regulations,
Kings Creek Country Club observes the following policy:
Smoking is not permitted in any building or area under roof or
with sides, including the outdoor terraces and porches.
Food and Beverages:
All food and beverage consumed on Club grounds are to
be purchased from the Club. The only exception is for birthday
or wedding cakes.
Lost Articles:
The Club is not responsible for any items placed or left in the
coat closets, locker rooms, or any area of the Club.
